We sincerely invite you and your family to Turkish Family home Ramadan Dinner as part of foster friendship program ‘Meet Your Neighbors” Dialog Foundation is organizing this year in Ramadan. This project will run between the August 25, 2009 and September 19, 2009.If you are interested in please just pick one of the dates below and let us know, it will be our pleasure to have you and your family.Let us arrange hosting family for you and enjoy your Ramadan Dinner with rich samples from unique Turkish kitchen.
"Meet Your Neighbors" is a program where the families affiliated with Dialog Foundation invites guests to their homes to have dinner together. There, families meet, greet, and create a joyful family atmosphere. The purpose behind this program is to build bridges between communities and experience intercultural interactions. Through this experience, exchange of ideas, tolerance, development of new forms of dialogue and new friendships are hoped to be gained. This brings about kindness, respectfulness, generosity and above all else cultural harmony. This evening is about sharing a great time together in a learning environment with the preparation and eating of good Turkish delicious foods.
As part of “Meet Your Neighbors” project, this Ramadan we would like to invite you and your family to come and experience Iftar (fast-breaking) in a Turkish Muslim home. We have launched this project to share this blissful occasion with the greater Canadian society. Our aim is to be able to provide a better understanding for the Muslim fast and help participants explore this 14 centuries old tradition. We would like to welcome you to our homes to have an iftar (fast-breaking) dinner with us as it is observed in the Muslim tradition. Home baked Turkish delicacies will be served.
This project will run this year in Holy month Ramadan between the August 25, 2009 and September 19, 2009.
